About this issue
DRINKR is a small magazine about big drinks. N°01 — The Classics Issue — collects twelve canonical cocktails: the spec as it should be made, the history as far as it can be verified, and the mythology clearly labeled as such. Cocktail history is mostly told by bartenders, about bartenders, several drinks in; where stories conflict, we say so, and where a legend is too good to be true, we print it anyway — flagged.
Recipes are given in bar measures with metric equivalents, and lean on the modern craft consensus: fresh citrus, real ingredients, dilution treated as an ingredient. None of it is gospel. Taste as you go.
Set in Fraunces and Space Grotesk. Illustrations drawn in-house as vector line work, one glass per drink. Built as a fast, static site — no trackers, no pop-ups asking about your feelings — and served from the edge by Cloudflare Pages.
Drink less, drink better, drink water in between. If you’re not of legal drinking age where you are, we admire your research instincts — come back later.
